Vienna is the World’s Most Livable City

Now it’s “official” – a fact that makes millions of visitors to Vienna so enthusiastic has again been confirmed by a well-known international city survey: Vienna’s the best in every way!

Each year the international consulting firm Mercer does a survey to evaluate the quality of living in 215 cities around the world. This year's survey results give Vienna top grades, ranking Austria's capital as the World's Most Livable City.

1862 - 2012: We celebrate Gustav Klimt´s 150th birthday

In 2012 as much works of Gustav Klimt will be displayed in Vienna as never before. The whole city designates the year to the slogan "Gustav Klimt and The birth of Modernism in Vienna". Noumerous museums take that jubilee as an occasion for special exhibitions. They will show paintings, drawings, drafts by Klimt and even more.
